It’s HOT!! Head to the mountains we must!

Grrrl power. Linda, Cat and I

An oldie but still a goodie. Badass, V5

Paul’s current proj, Pink Lightning, V11

And mine, Puffer Fish, v7. Both climbs have the same finish and according to Paul, it’s a race to the top. (Never mind that Paul is oblivious to the fact that I have not yet agreed to this competition).
Interesting tidbit of info on this climb: I had never been able to do the finish move, a big powerful throw to the lip with an in-your-face same side heel hook and undercling. Well, last weekend (our first trip to the Draw of the season mind you…which NEVER goes well, with a grand total of only 5 climbing days under my belt since the 12 weeks I spent training for the kettlebell certification, and prior to that having not climbed at all due to a surgery), I stuck the move. Yup. Data perhaps that this whole full-body strength training stuff might be a good thing? I’m thinkin’ so.

An early morning run with my lady friends, Heather and Linda

And lots…

..of cute kiddos

And let’s not forget, when in Flag means lots of tasty beer. Refill please?

It seems every time Paul heads out to train these days he’s got two happy little tag-alongs with him.

This is a V10 put up by Eric Scully at the Hairpin Boulders just minutes from our house. Paul ticked this off last December. Thought peeps might want to see video:
