Cactus Garden
Last weekend we decided to visit Mesquite Valley Growers and pick up a few cacti and flowers to make our front entrance look nice. Here is what we came up with...

"The mission, should you choose to accept it."
The mission Nate was referring to is the Hueco Wanker 101. One hundred and one boulder problems.....in a day....with the long and pumpy Ghetto Simulator V2 as #101.
Paul and I had originally planned on climbing the 101 last weekend, but my stupid spastic back muscle prevented us.
Nate had given the 101 a shot about a month prior but was shut down by Ghetto. He's getting ready to leave Hueco and head back to the east and this weekend was his final one there....his final shot at the 101.
Paul and I have managed to convert Marcus into a regular Hueco junkie now too, and the 101 was something he didn't want to miss.
We just had to go. Paul, Marcus and myself crammed into the subie and were off.
The plan was to attack the Wanker challenge on Sunday, so Saturday was devoted to hard projects. We started at Warm-up Boulder, then moved on to a highball that Marcus and Paul have been talking about doing for a long time, Hershey's Symphony V1. Both sent with grace. Then Paul got a little taste of Diaphanous Sea V12.
Next was Power of Silence, V10 project for Paul and the thin and vertical Speak to Me O'Toothless One V1 for Marcus.
Nate met up with us there and then we moved on to Girls of Juarez V4, Black Mamba V10, and Supergoose V3. Nice send Nate, on Girls of Juarez....using the "T-Bone" beta.
Next on the list was Loaded With Power V10.....another climb Paul has been eyeing up to try. One try, two tries, three tries. FOURTH TRY AND HE SENDS!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Unfortunately....b/c I thought Paul would be "working" this problem juuuust a little more than 4 attemps, I didn't get any video or pictures. :( And I'm not so sure as we ever will get video of a repeat b/c this thing is high, hard and scary. Yeah Paul.
As for me, I spent the day lounging around and reading "Legacy of Luna" (the story about the activist chickie who sat in a redwood for 2 years to hinder California clear-cutting). My back is still being a pain in the...uh...back.
Saturday night the wind really kicked up at the campground so myself, Paul, Nate and Marcus all retreated into mine and Paul's new loveshack. We enjoyed a tasty spaghetti dinner, tossed back a few beverages, and discussed our Wanker plan of attack in a meeting...

An Attempt at Astrophotography
I better not write much because I need to get to bed. I just worked late, ran, climbed, sat in the hot tub and then tried to start a new hobby...astrophotography. Here is what I managed to capture with a 15sec exposure and NO tripod. One photo is of Orion and one is of the Big Dipper. The Shot of Orion is to the West (facing the city of Tucson) where our skies are washed out from light. The shot of the Dipper is to the East (facing the mts.) in the dark sky.
